VIRTUAL CONNECTIONS

Bringing communities together, even when distance keeps them apart.
Project First Nations began developing virtual connection initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic, when travel and in-person activities became difficult or impossible. What began as a response to isolation became an important way to continue building relationships across long distances. Today, we continue to use virtual connections to bring Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, schools, youth groups and communities together.
How Virtual Connections Work
Project First Nations helps facilitate virtual connections between different groups, fostering relationship-based learning regardless of geographical distance. Our team works with participants to ensure every interaction is meaningful, respectful, and accessible.

Why Virtual Connections Matter
Distance should not prevent meaningful relationships from developing. Virtual Connections provide a vital platform for people to meet, listen, and ask respectful questions in a safe environment. Through these sessions, participants learn from one another and begin building relationships that serve as a foundation for long-term understanding and community growth.
